The Huduma (Swahili for Service) Fellowship is an initiative by the LéO Africa Institute and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, to provide thought leadership training for emerging civic & public sector champions in Uganda. Every year, the programme will enroll 15 outstanding champions, who already work in civic & public service or aspire to do so. These champions from multidisciplinary backgrounds will undertake a year-long training on various aspects of leadership, public affairs management, and policy making.
The programme will offer the fellows an opportunity to learn ideals of “servant” leadership, offer networking opportunities, and a deeper understanding of the public sector in Uganda to aid fellows’ growth as conscious civic & public sector champions.
The Huduma Fellowship is modelled on the Institute’s other successful fellowship programme, the Young and Emerging Leaders’ Project (YELP), which annually inducts outstanding young and emerging leaders who are committed to achieving success and living high-impact lives. Huduma Fellows will undertake some of the previously designed modules and seminars on personal leadership and critical thinking from the YELP programme.

At the Institute, we engage a new generation of young and emerging thought leaders in Africa who are passionate about creating change in their communities, businesses and living significant lives. We believe in actively contributing to shaping an environment where others succeed and contribute to a better world.... continue reading
