About Loughborough University UK

Loughborough University (abbreviated as Lough for post-nominals) is a public research university located in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, in the East Midlands of England. Aim and Benefits of Loughborough University Sanctuary Scholarships

The scholarship will cover 100% off the course fees for your chosen undergraduate degree for 3 years (replacing any departmental or other Loughborough University scholarships or bursaries you may already have been awarded) and a stipend to support living costs during your study at Loughborough University (amount to be confirmed).  Students will be expected to fund their travel and visa costs through other sources.

Requirements for Loughborough University Sanctuary Scholarships Qualification

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

• Currently holding an offer (conditional or unconditional) for an eligible undergraduate programme
• Show evidence of exceptional academic achievement
• Is your home located in a region of conflict/war such that their lives or the lives of their family are in danger, or such that they could be forcibly displaced due to persecution.
• Are you, or your family, at risk of imminent imprisonment, injury, death or persecution?
• If you are currently in the UK but were to return to your home country, your life or safety would be at much greater risk.

The scholarship application procedure is an open competition. Students may only apply for the scholarship after an offer for a place in one of Loughborough University’s undergraduate programmes has been made. Students who are in possession of an offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course can apply for the scholarship using the application form.

Applications will be initially shortlisted and the final decision on the awards will be made by a selection panel of senior staff of the University.
