About West Bangal Minority Development and Finance Cooperation (WBMDFC)
WBMDFC was established in 1996 as per West Bengal Act XVIII of 1995, i.e. The West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation Act, 1995.The Corporation has taken up various schemes for Economic Welfare, Scholarships, vocational training, mass awareness and career counseling which are running successfully for persons belonging to the notified religious minority Communities i.e., Muslim/Christian/Buddhist/Sikh/Jain and Parsee for their economic upliftment.

Aim and Benefits of WBMDFC West Bengal State Scholarship Scheme For Minority Students
- It mainly provides education loans to poor and meritorious students to continue their studies.
- Running programs to empower women of minority groups.
- It Makes students financially independent with the help of education.
- Improvement in literacy ratio in West Bengal.
- To provide training to students for various competitive examinations.
- To promote training programs to develop and upgrade the skills of students.
- Provide various scholarships for poor but dedicated students
Requirements for WBMDFC West Bengal State Scholarship Scheme For Minority Students Qualification
- Only students domiciled in West Bengal are eligible to apply
- Unique ID of Bangla Shiksha is Mandatory for school-level students
- Students with at least 50% marks in the last exam are eligible to apply (except for Pre-Matric class I and TSP)
- Annual family income for the students for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and TSP is upto Rs.2 lakhs, and for MCM and SVMCM it is upto Rs.2.5 lakhs
- Students must have their own operative bank account number. However, for Pre-Matric, students can apply through their parent's bank account also
- A student is eligible to apply for scholarship from any one Government source only
New features of Aikyashree Scholarship for PRE-MATRIC (CLASSES II TO X)
- Eligible students from Class 2 to Class 10 need not re-apply on line for Aikyashree Scholarship if they have already applied at Aikyashree Portal 2022-23 session
- Eligible students for renewal will get confirmation through SMS
- Pre-Matric students who will be admitted to Class 1 or new school, only need to apply on line (fresh) for the scholarship.
