The U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF) is an independent U.S. government agency established by Congress to invest in African grassroots organizations, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises. To be considered for the Challenge. applicants must be majority African-owned and -managed private companies and organizations (including non-profit and not-for-profit) registered and operating in any of these countries in Africa (Benin, Burundi, Céte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo (South Kivu), Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia).
