The Directors’ Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships UC Irvine offers to domestic, out-of-state students entering UCI. This scholarship is renewable for one additional year beyond their initial year of tenure as long as eligibility requirements continue to be met.

The University of California Irvine will provide the education funds to the selected students in the USA to cover their educational expenses.
No additional materials are required nor considered in the selection process. The selection committee conducts a comprehensive review of the applicant pool to determine the student's strength and breadth of academic preparation. Selection is based on a comprehensive review of the admissions application, including, but not limited to, test scores and grades.
The Directors’ Scholarship
is awarded based on the information gathered on the UC Application for Admission and Scholarships. To be eligible for the Directors' Scholarship you must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or an international student with an F1 visa. Only students who fall under these categories are eligible for the Directors' Scholarship. To be considered for the Directors’ Scholarship, you must apply for Fall admission by November 30. Applicants for Winter or Spring quarter are not eligible.
