The CS Energy Indigenous Scholarship is a joint initiative between the Oodgeroo Unit, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and CS Energy. CS Energy is providing university scholarships to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to attend and complete university.

CS Energy Indigenous Scholarship
Aim and Benefits of CS Energy Indigenous Scholarship
You’ll receive a scholarship valued at $10,000.
The scholarship will be paid as a stipend in two instalments of $5,000 per semester for up to one year, following confirmation of your enrolment after the census date of each semester, commencing Semester 1, 2025.
CS Energy Indigenous Scholarship Courses
Requirements for CS Energy Indigenous Scholarship Qualification
You must:
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Be commencing or continuing an undergraduate bachelor degree in business, science, engineering or technology after the census date
- Be studying full-time
- Have not received the scholarship before.
Interview date, Process and Venue for CS Energy Indigenous Scholarship
Conditions
Scholarship recipients will need to enter into a binding agreement with QUT’s Oodgeroo Unit to:
- Maintain a 4.0 grade point average
- Maintain active engagement and communication with the Oodgeroo Unit, QUT
- Attend the official scholarships presentation ceremony.
- Give consent to photographs being taken for the purposes of promotional activities including media, webpage/s by the Oodgeroo Unit, QUT and CS Energy
- Consent to CS Energy accessing certain personal information, e.g., your name, image, contact details, course details and grade point average.
In addition to fulfilling their study program, the scholarship recipient should note that their responsibilities include:
- Notifying the Oodgeroo Unit, QUT immediately of any change in enrolment status, unsuccessful completion of a semester, deferral or withdrawal from a course or study program
- Providing feedback to the Oodgeroo Unit, QUT if requested.

To apply for this scholarship, you must complete the following selection criteria:
- Complete the CS Energy scholarship application form.
- Academic record for previous studies
- Proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent status.
- A written submission [minimum 150 words per question] addressing:
- Tell us about you, your mob, personal attributes, values, leadership qualities and how you have used them to help others.
- Why are you studying your chosen course and how will it help you achieve your future career aspirations.
- What special hardships, challenges, or financial obstacles have you overcome recently during your studies and why this scholarship will help you overcome these challenges and your circumstances?
- Demonstrated involvement within the Indigenous community and how you plan to use your degree to give back to the community.
