Westpac Young Technologists scholarship recipients join the Westpac 100 Scholars Network and gain access to ongoing collaboration, networking and life-long learning opportunities.
Financial support is just the beginning. Students take part in a Disruptive Leaders program and will become lifelong members of the Westpac 100 Scholars Network, an inclusive group of some of the brightest minds in Australia. The W100 network gives recipients access to a range of experiences including internships, inspiring mentors, leadership development and networking opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
The five-day residential Disruptive Leaders Program in Singapore brings Young Technologists Scholars together to learn, collaborate and connect. Through a combination of industry site visits, panel discussions, networking events and team challenges, Scholars gain a better understanding of the tech landscape and how technology can be used to tackle the most pressing global challenges. They will also learn about what it means to be an inclusive leader and improve their pitching and presentation skills.
The Westpac Scholars Trust was launched in 2016 with a $100 million gift from Westpac Group to fund 100 scholarships every year, forever. Since then, the Trust has welcomed over 740+ Westpac Scholars and awarded $40+ million in scholarships in partnership with leading Australian universities and across five different scholarship programs.

Offers will be made to the top ranked candidates following interview.
The scholarship application process is highly competitive with a limited number of scholarships available. Unfortunately, not all eligible applicants will be offered an interview or receive a scholarship.
A scholarship offer does not mean that you're automatically accepted into the course you've applied for. You still have to apply and be accepted through QTAC.
If you are thinking of applying but have some unanswered questions, register for the online information session that will cover everything from the eligibility criteria and funding guidelines to key attributes of a Westpac Scholar and tips to complete your application.
