Griffith University 2025 QIC Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship

Applications are npow open for the Griffith University 2025 QIC Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship. This scholarship provides financial support to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student studying a degree in commerce, economics, business, government and industrial relations, law, science, IT, engineering, mathematics or psychology.

As part of the scholarship, QIC will provide a mentor who will support and assist the recipient throughout their university degree.

Aim and Benefits of QIC Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship

The scholarship is valued at $10,000, paid in instalments of $5,000 in Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 only, provided conditions are met.

Requirements for QIC Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander*
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be enrolled in full-time study at Griffith University
  • Have a minimum GPA of 4.0 (if a current student)
  • Be currently studying, or be commencing study, in one of the following undergraduate bachelor degrees:
    • Bachelor of Commerce
    • Bachelor of Economics
    • Bachelor of Business
    • Bachelor of Law
    • Bachelor of Science
    • Bachelor of Information Technology
    • Bachelor of Engineering
    • Bachelor of Mathematics
    • Bachelor of Psychology
    • Bachelor of Government and International Relations.

Students may apply in any year of study.

Interview date, Process and Venue for QIC Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship

The selection committee may decide to interview short-listed candidates. In making its recommendation, the selection committee will take into account personal qualities, including leadership potential.

Applicants may be required to provide additional information in order to determine eligibility.

Offers are made via email.

Griffith University reserves the right to withdraw an advertised scholarship at any time.

  • Personal statement: In 500 words or less, describe yourself and your personal attributes, such as your ability to overcome adversity, potential to achieve at university, community involvement, career aspirations, interests and drive.
  • Challenges statement: In 300 words or less, outline the impact the scholarship would have on your life and how it would help you achieve your current and future career goals.
  • Supporting documentation: Please upload a current CV/resume. Please upload the following formats only: PDF, Word, JPEG or Excel. We cannot guarantee other formats will be accepted.
