The SBW Berlin scholarship programme supports social commitment through the development of social projects during the scholarship recipients’ studies and includes various types of scholarships. The scholarships are only granted for a limited period, usually for the upcoming semester.*
DAAD scholarship in Germany is a private, federally funded and state-funded, self governing national agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany, representing 365 German higher education institutions (100 universities and technical universities, 162 general universities of applied sciences, and 52 colleges of music and art) [2003]. The extensive support package offered by the SBW Berlin Scholarship is what makes it unique. In addition to paying tuition, the scholarship offers living expenses, a living allowance, and maybe a travel stipend for the time spent traveling to and from Berlin. The recipient will reside in shared student residences in Berlin. The scholarship is available to overseas students between the ages of 18 and 30, with a focus on those who are just starting college (up to the third semester) or who want to pursue a master’s degree shortly after earning a bachelor’s. A crucial need is proving one’s financial necessity and demonstrating a commitment to using one’s degree to advance society.
