DAAD 2021 Staff Exchange Fellowships in Sub-Saharan-Africa

The purpose of the fellowship programme for staff exchange is to promote inter-university cooperation through academic mobility and to enhance the quality of teaching and research at Sub-Saharan African universities.

About German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

DAAD scholarship in Germany is a private, federally funded and state-funded, self governing national agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany, representing 365 German higher education institutions (100 universities and technical universities, 162 general universities of applied sciences, and 52 colleges of music and art) [2003]. Staff Exchange Fellowships

Aim and Benefits of Staff Exchange Fellowships

The fellowship consists of:

• An adequate travel lump sum
• A monthly allowance of EUR 2.000,–
• Accident, liability and health insurance

Requirements for Staff Exchange Fellowships Qualification

• have completed their PhD degree.
• be (senior) staff at a Sub-Saharan African university.
• be invited by a Sub-Saharan African host university.
• be nationals of a Sub-Saharan African country.
• be granted leave of absence by their home institution for the purpose of teaching at the host institution.
