Zelle 2021 Diversity in Law Scholarship for International Students

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the 2021 Zelle LLP Diversity in Law Scholarship. The Diversity in Law Scholarship was established for students of Law who are a member of a population underrepresented in private practice of law.

The scholarship is designed to encourage and assist students from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectives, as well as students with a proven interest in diversity-related issues, in pursuing the law as a profession. Zelle is a law firm committed to development of the legal profession and all legal professionals by supporting their educational advancement.

Requirements for Zelle Diversity in Law Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible for the Zelle Diversity in Law Scholarship 2021:

• Applicants must be enrolled in a law degree awarding programme at a recognized university.
• Applicants must be members of a population or group whose background and perspectives are historically underrepresented in the private practice of law.
• Applicants must demonstrate a long-standing commitment to diversity that will be furthered by award of the scholarship.
• Applicants must demonstrate strong academic abilities and be passionate about the law profession.

• Cover letter
• Undergraduate transcripts
• Law school transcripts
• Legal writing sample
• Two references
• Personal essay of no more than 750-1000 words
