Welcome to the Ye! Youth Ecopreneurs Programme (YECO) 2024, a transformative journey hosted by the International Trade Centre and the G20 Global Land Initiative. YECO 2024 is designed for visionary young entrepreneurs who are committed to pioneering sustainable solutions for our planet.

This year marks a significant expansion, scaling up from the Youth Ecopreneur Awards to a full-fledged programme. Celebrating its third iteration, the Awards have grown into a comprehensive initiative that includes a Global Bootcamp, an Accelerator phase, and concludes with the celebrated Youth Ecopreneur Awards. Each phase is carefully crafted to advance the most promising ecopreneurs, propelling them towards global recognition and impact.

Requirements for Ye! Community Youth Ecopreneur Program Qualification

The YECO 2024 program is designed for young ecopreneurs looking to elevate their initiatives to new heights. Ideal candidates are innovators with a clear understanding of the environmental challenges they address, offering scalable solutions ready for acceleration. This program serves as a launchpad for those ready to make a substantial impact in environmental innovation.

We seek candidates that meet the following profile:

Applicant

• Must be under the age of 35 (by 22 March 2024)
• Must be a member of the Ye! Community (Register here)
• Must be Founder, Co-Founder or CEO

The Business

• Must be majority run by a young person
• Must be legally registered
• The bootcamp is open globally, the accelerator is reserved for eligible countries – see the list here
• Must promote land restoration, sustainability, circularity, and/or the green economy

Programme Categories

The YECO 2024 programme is segmented into two main categories, each designed to support innovative solutions in the realm of environmental sustainability. These categories not only define the type of projects we're looking to accelerate but also outline the specific benefits associated with each. We seek solutions that meet the following profile:

1. Land Restoration

Eligibility Criteria:

• Reforestation or Afforestation
• Soil Conservation and Enrichment
• Wetland Restoration
• Erosion Control
• Cleanup of Contaminated Land
• Agroforestry and Carbon Farming
• Invasive Species Control
• Forest or Urban Woodland Fire Management
• Stream and River Restoration
• Use of Modern Technology for Any of the Above

2. Green Business Solution

Eligibility Criteria:

• Innovative products, services, or processes that significantly contribute to a sustainable and green economy
• This category is broad, designed to inspire a wide range of green business innovations
