Women in Africa (WIA) 2021 Initiative Entrepreneurship Support Programme

Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified women entrepreneurs for the Women in Africa (WIA) Initiative Entrepreneurship Support Programme.

Each year, the entrepreneurship programme endows 54 African women entrepreneurs from 54 African countries with a comprehensive support package consisting of training, communication, mentoring and networking.

About Women in Africa (WIA)

Women in Africa Initiative is a social impact company whose mission is to support African women entrepreneurs and leaders in their journey to impact the continent’s economy. Over the past 4 years, WIA has developed the first pan-African and international platform bringing together all relevant actors; WIA implements training programs, and WIA communicates extensively on the themes “Women * Business * Africa”. Requirements for WIA Initiative Entrepreneurship Support Programme Qualification

To be eligible for the Women in Africa (WIA) Initiative Entrepreneurship Support Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be an African woman entrepreneur where the business is created or led by an African woman.
• Startup created less than 5 years ago.
• First traction on the market
• Be part of one of the 8 categories of the programme.
• Product, service or technology must be innovative with proven business model scalability.
