The Value-Based Health and Care Academy and All-Wales Intensive Learning Academy for Innovation in Health and Social Care at the School of Management, are both part of the Welsh Government Intensive Learning Academy (ILA) Programme.
Outlined within A Healthier Wales, the long-term plan for Health and Social Care in Wales, the programme is designed to enhance leadership and development within the Health and Social Care workforce.
As part of this programme, we are able to offer several full-fee scholarships to professional learners from across Wales, working within the following:
There is a growing need for health and social care systems to acquire Value-Based capabilities to lead organisational and system-wide transformation. There is also a need for leaders to drive innovation within health and social care systems, processes and technologies, which is why we have designed programmes to support senior and aspiring leaders in adopting these approaches in their organisations.

Tuition fees are covered for professional learners from across Wales, working within the following:
Due to funding restrictions, this scholarship is open to applicants eligible to pay tuition fees at the UK rate only, as defined by?UKCISA regulations.
Students must attain 2:1 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree and any degree subject will be considered. We would also be willing to consider those with other backgrounds and work experience in the sector, in place of the degree entry requirement.
Students must also have a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience. (Additional experience may be required to access the WG funded bursaries on the programme).
Non-native speakers must achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 or greater with no component less than 6.0. If you have studied an If you have studied an undergraduate degree taught through the medium of English, you may be exempt from this requirement – click here for further information.
For students who fall short of only the English language requirement, we offer a range of Pre-Master's training programmes that you may take before starting your Master's qualification.
