Volkswagen Foundation Norbert Elias Fellowships For African Researchers is awarded with the intention of increasing the diversity of perspectives present in the ZiF research groups, thereby making African Researchers more visible and prominent.
The Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF) is on this note awarding two scholarships annually to African Researchers to participate in the Norbert Elias Fellowships.
This research is of the noble opinion that Science needs diverse perspectives, but researchers from African countries are still underrepresented in the international scientific community.
The Volkswagen Group, with its headquarters in Wolfsburg, is one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers and the largest carmaker in Europe. The foundation for the Volkswagen Hanover factory was laid more than 50 years ago when the first Transporter came off the production line on 8th March 1956.
