Vingroup 2025-2026 Graduate Scholarship Program Track 2 for Overseas Study (Fully funded)

The Vingroup Science and Technology Scholarship Program for Overseas Study for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees (the ‘Scholarship Program’) was established by Vingroup with a mission to find talents and provide them with rewarding opportunities so that they can lead and advance the development of science and technology in Vietnam in the future. The official information about the Scholarship Program is available at https://scholarships.vinuni.edu.vn/. The Scholarship Program is managed and administered by VinUniversity (https://vinuni.edu.vn/).

For 11 years starting from 2019, Vingroup will provide up to 100 full scholarships per year for Master’s and Ph.D. degree programs for Vietnamese talents to study key areas at excellent universities in leading countries in terms of science and technology including Australia, Canada, France, German, Israel, Italia, Japan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Applicants for the Scholarship Program can apply following these below tracks:

Track 2: For applicants who have not been accepted to study a Master’s or a Ph.D. program at any of the targeted universities and choose to apply for the scholarship before applying for admission to study in AY 2025/26.

Requirements for Vingroup Graduate Scholarship Program Qualification

• Being a Vietnamese who is living, studying and working in Vietnam or overseas; who has talents, resilience and commitment to contributing to the development of science and technology of Vietnam and to the country’s common causes.
• Not over 30 years of age at the start date of the intended Master’s degree program and not over 35 at the start date of the intended Ph.D. degree program.
• Having an education background that matches or relates to the intended fields of study. College graduate with at least a Bachelor’s degree or college juniors (3rd or 4th year) or seniors (final year students), who will graduate with such a degree by their departure to start the intended graduate courses overseas.
• Grade Point Average (GPA) of the undergraduate degree in the relevant programs must be at least 7/10 or equivalent.
• English Language Requirement:
  • TOEFL iBT: At least 79. The TOEFL certificate must still be valid at the scholarship application deadline.
  • IELTS Academic: At least IELTS 6.5 overall. The IELTS certificate must still be valid at the scholarship application deadline.
  • Degree from an English-speaking country: Applicants who are studying or have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree from one of the following English-speaking countries do NOT need to submit the IELTS or TOEFL certificate. The countries include Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States, or the United Kingdom (Britain, Ireland, Scotland or Wales).
• GRADUATE RECORD EXAMINATION (GRE): Not required at the time of application. However, please be advised that graduate programs in the United States, Singapore or Israel may require the results of the GRE General Test. Applicants should inquire about the mandatory requirements of their intended universities.
•  Work Experience not required

4. Interview round: July – August 2024
5. Notification of final results to all applicants: Early September 2023
6. Qualified candidates apply for admission at targeted universities: From October 2024 to April 2025
7. Candidates submit letters of admission to the Scholarship Program: Early April 2025
8. Announcement of final scholarship results to all scholarship nominees: Late April 2025 Scholarship
9. Award Ceremony & PreDeparture Orientation Program: Early July 2025
10. General health examination and visa
