Mokaraka Maori Women in Business Scholarship is to support young Maori women studying at Wellington School of Business and Government.
This Scholarship was established in 2024 and is funded by Melanie Smith. Melanie is Ngapuhi and lives in London working as a CEO. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support young Maori women studying business at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.

Scholarship specific documentation:
Level 2 and Level 3 NCEA results, or the equivalent in another qualification (for school leavers).
Academic transcript (for returning students).
An endorsement of iwi association (to be requested via the online application).
A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date.
