Victoria University of Wellington Bachelor of Midwifery Scholarship for First Year Students 2024

Victoria University of Wellington Bachelor of Midwifery Scholarship has been established by the Faculty of Health to support first-year students meet the initial financial costs associated with enrolment into the Bachelor of Midwifery programme.

The purpose of the scholarship is to support new students enrolling in the four-year Bachelor of Midwifery programme at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington with their initial course related costs.

Aim and Benefits of Victoria University of Wellington Bachelor of Midwifery Scholarship

• The scholarship valueis up to $2,000
• The scholarship will be paid directly to the student as one lump sum, after the free withdrawal period in Trimester 1.

• Students who are enrolling for the first time in the Bachelor of Midwifery programme at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

 

Interview date, Process and Venue for Victoria University of Wellington Bachelor of Midwifery Scholarship

• Scholarships will be awarded by the selection panel based on the content of their personal statement.
• The selection panel will be comprised of the Head of Programme for Midwifery and the Director of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Practice.

Documents Required for Application

• Personal statement  - including reasons for applying to the programme, personal context including any financial hardship and the intended use of the funding if awarded.

A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
