UWE Bristol 2021-2022 OfS Scholarships for MSc Data Science

These scholarships are funded by the Office for Students and are intended to increase the proportions of traditionally underrepresented groups in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). They are worth £10k per successful applicant and are to be used for course fees and equipment.

About University of the West of England (UWE)

The University of the West of England (also known as UWE Bristol, or simply UWE) is a public university located near the city of Bristol, United Kingdom. The university has a history dating back to the Merchant Venturers Navigation School which was founded in 1595, with the present institution granted university status in 1992. The scholarship worths £10k

Requirements for OfS Scholarships for MSc Data Science Qualification

Scholarships will be prioritised for black, female and disabled students. Additional availability may extend to:

• students from areas of the UK where young people are less likely to go on to higher education (POLAR quintiles 1 and 2)
• care experienced students
• estranged students
• Gypsy, Roma, Traveller students
• refugees
• children from military families, veterans and partners of military personnel.

International students are eligible to apply, though we will be prioritising UK nationals.

Interested and qualified? Go to University of the West of England (UWE) on forms.office.com to apply

• Applicants first need to have completed an application to the MSc Data Science course and obtained a UWE Welcome ID. 
• Please email the course leader Paul Matthews on [email protected] if you have questions about your suitability for the degree.
• Apply online for scholarships covering September 2021 entry. Applications close on 13th August 2021 at 17:00 BST.
