Aim and Benefits of University of Waikato Bachelors

• Each Scholarship will have a value of NZD 5,000 per year for a maximum of four years.
• The Scholarship tenure is for the duration of the recipient’s undergraduate degree up to a maximum of four years, with continued eligibility dependent on regulations.

Preference will be given to applicants who reside in the Opotiki to Te Araroa region and who demonstrate academic ability, with consideration given to those who demonstrate serious financial hardship and/or exceptional personal circumstances

Requirements for University of Waikato Bachelors Qualification

To be eligible, candidates must:

• be a New Zealand citizen who is currently studying at NCEA level 3 (or equivalent) at any New Zealand secondary school, who reside in the East Coast region of New Zealand, with preference given to those applicants who reside in the Opotiki to Te Araroa area.
• qualify for direct entry into an undergraduate degree program and enroll as a full-time (a full-time academic year comprised of 120-points) student first time in the year of tenure.
