About University of Vienna (Universitat Wien)

Summer School Scholarships

Aim and Benefits of Summer School Scholarships

Participants of a univie: summer/winter school have the opportunity to have the participation fees for their univie: summer/winter school waived by the University of Vienna.

Requirements for Summer School Scholarships Qualification

Regular students and young scientists from all disciplines can apply for a scholarship. You must be admitted to a bachelor’s/diploma/master’s/doctoral or PhD program .

Preference is given to recipients of study grants (proof required) and students from partner universities of the University of Vienna.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

You can apply for the scholarship (=tuition waiver) together with the application for the selected univie: summer/winter school. Please check on the website of the particular school or with the organisers how the application procedure works. 

The application deadlines for a tuition waiver are based on the registration deadlines for the respective univie: summer/winter school.

The univie: summer/winter school tuition waiver will be awarded once, either for a univie: summer or winter school.

Tuition waivers  are awarded by the organisers of the selected univie: summer/winter school.

The application for a scholarship is made together with the application for the selected univie: summer/winter school. The organisers submit the name of eligible candidates to the International Office which is responsible for the final scholarship award.
