About University of Surrey

The University of Surrey was established on 9 September 1966 with the grant of its Royal Charter, but its roots go back to a late 19th-century concern to provide greater access to further and higher education for the poorer inhabitants of London. Aim and Benefits of University of Surrey International Excellence Award

The scholarship is awarded as a £5,000 fee waiver. It is open to self-funded international fee paying students regardless of nationality or domicile. The scheme is application based and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel.

Requirements for University of Surrey International Excellence Award Qualification

In order to be eligible applicants must:

• Be an overseas fee-paying student
• Hold an offer to study a full time masters programme (excludes part-time, distance-learning courses and the MBA)
• Be self-funded (you must be paying for your studies independently rather than being sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship) 
• Not be from the Surrey International Study Centre (SISC).

Applicants in receipt of the International Excellence Award will not be eligible for the alumni discount as the value of this award is higher.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Surrey International Excellence Award

Applications open: 15 October 2023.

Applications will be reviewed monthly starting in November 2023.
