The University has worked closely with the University of Strathclyde Students’ Association, Scottish Refugee Council, and The Carnegie Trust to create this scholarship. Its aim is to help asylum seekers, currently in the UK, and individuals currently in the UK on humanitarian grounds to overcome obstacles in pursuing higher education.
The scholarship is available to students who want to study for an undergraduate degree or a taught postgraduate degree at the University of Strathclyde. It covers the cost of tuition fees and provides money for essential study-related expenses.
If you were under 18 when your parent or guardian applied for asylum, or if you are an unaccompanied asylum seeker and under 18 when your asylum application was submitted, you may be eligible to have your tuition fees paid by SAAS
