You are invited to join Scientists and global Health Professionals together to accelerate the research and development process, and develop new norms and standards to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and help care for those affected.
COVID-19 is a novel viral disease, and there is no pre-existing immunity in our community. This project will target this need, through design and synthesis of nanoparticles-based antiviral materials and testing their efficiency on different surfaces.
The interdisciplinary nature of the project, and diverse background of researchers within the Rowan group, will provide the candidate with access to cutting edge equipment and training in new research areas such as high-resolution microscopy, rheology and bioengineering. In addition, the project will give a unique opportunity to the candidate to closely work with an industry partner and develop some skills in large-scale production and testing using industry standard facilities. This working environment will prepare the candidate well for a future career in both academia and industry.
