Aim and Benefits of University of Melbourne Alma Hansen Scholarship

Up to $20,000. Several awards will be offered from this amount.

Recipients are required to:

• accept the award online within 21 days; and,
• submit a final report.

Requirements for University of Melbourne Alma Hansen Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

• be currently enrolled in a graduate program in the Faculty of Arts;
• demonstrate financial disadvantage; and,
• wish to pursue relevant study and research overseas.

 

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Melbourne Alma Hansen Scholarship

Preference is given to graduate students in the Faculty of Arts, University of Melbourne, and due consideration is given to financial need.

Several awards will be offered. The value of the scholarship will be determined after considering the successful applicant's proposed program of study, access to other financial resources and estimate of travel and living expenses.

• details of your proposed program of study overseas;
• a 300-500 word statement describing how you would use this scholarship and how it would positively impact your academic work;
• an indicative budget;
• evidence of a complete and submitted University of Melbourne Student Financial Assessment form;
• at least one academic reference;
• a current academic statement of results; and,
• any other information to support the application that may assist the committee in making its decision.
