The University of Leicester are investing £9m in 100 PhD Scholarships for entry in autumn 2022 as part of its ambition to deliver on its strategic aim to ‘nurture the next generation of researchers to become world-leaders in their field’. 25 scholarships will be distributed through the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, which comprises nine schools: Archaeology and Ancient History; Arts (encompassing English, History of Art and Film, and Modern Languages); Business; Criminology; Education; History, Politics and International Relations; Law; Media, Communication and Sociology; Museum Studies.

Studentships provide funding for 3.5 years to include:
International applicants applying for projects listed on this page will need to be able to fund the difference between UK and International fees for the duration of study.
Applicants are required to hold a UK Bachelor Degree 2:1 or better overseas equivalent and a Masters degree both in a relevant subject
