Applications are now open for the University of Edinburgh Surgery Online Ophthalmology Scholarship 2025. Edinburgh Surgery Online will offer a number of scholarships for the part-time online Masters programme in Primary Care Ophthalmology for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Aim and Benefits of Edinburgh Surgery Online Ophthalmology Scholarship

Each scholarship will contribute £1500 annually towards tuition fees for each of the three years of the MSc Primary Care Ophthalmology programme, subject to satisfactory progress.

Requirements for Edinburgh Surgery Online Ophthalmology Scholarship Qualification

A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission to the MSc in Primary Care Ophthalmology.

  • Scholarship applicants must be in receipt of an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) prior to applying for the scholarship. 
  • Applicants will be asked to complete an online application which includes writing a short 100-word statement on how the programme will benefit their career, and a 100-word statement on how they envisage the programme enhancing their working practices to improve the care of ophthalmic patients in their country. They will also be asked to provide a letter of support from their Educational/Training Programme Supervisor or Director.
