Applications are now open for the University of Edinburgh 2025 PhD Korean Studies Prize For entry in September 2025 or January 2026, we hope to offer one student on a Korean Studies PhD programme a prize of up to £5,000.

For entry in September 2025 or January 2026, we hope to offer one student on a Korean Studies PhD programme a prize of up to £5,000.We also hope to offer additional prizes to two students (PhD or MSc) of £3,000 each.
The prizes will be made possible by the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS).
The scholarships are only available to students on the PhD Korean Studies programme.
Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate and Masters level.
