- the exposure or effect, if any, of organisms within the San Francisco Bay estuary to selenium, metals, and/or organic chemicals through food chain transfer
- the degree, if any, to which sediments are a source of exposure for organisms within the San Francisco Bay estuary to selenium, metals, and/or organic chemicals
- other research that involves the effect of pollution on the San Francisco Bay estuary and/or its ecosystem.

- The recipients of the Bay Area Water Quality Fellowship 2022 will get a stipend of up to $16,000 in stipend plus in-state fees for the Fall 2022 semester.

- The University of California, Berkeley is offering Bay Area Water Quality Fellowships to graduate students.
- The candidates applying for Bay Area Water Quality Fellowship 2022 should be studying fields related to water quality issues affecting the San Francisco Bay.
- The studies should support research on the topics of the exposure or effect of organisms within the San Francisco Bay estuary to selenium, metals, and/or organic chemicals through food chain transfer, the degree, to which sediments are a source of exposure for organisms within the San Francisco Bay estuary to selenium, metals, and/or organic chemicals, or other research proposed by the University that involves the effect of pollution on the San Francisco Bay estuary and/or its ecosystem.
- The applicants for the Bay Area Water Quality Fellowship 2022 should be graduate students.
