The University of British Columbia (UBC) is pleased to announce their Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF) which will ensure that UBC’s best PhD, DMA, and MDPhD students are provided with financial support of at least $18,200 per year plus tuition for up to four years of their doctoral studies.
The Four Year Doctoral Fellowship program allows the university to attract and support excellent domestic and international doctoral students who have enrolled to pursue their studies and carry out their research. Selection is based on academic excellence, upon the recommendation of the graduate program.

To be considered for Four Year Fellowship funding, students are to submit application for admission to the appropriate graduate program at UBC. Information about the admission procedures and requirements are to be gotten from the Application & Admission page. All PhD, DMA, and MDPhD applicants offered admission are automatically considered for 4YF funding.
