About University of Bristol

Before the University of Bristol, there was University College, Bristol University College, Bristol existed from 1876 to 1909 and was the precursor to the University of Bristol. Its history can be traced back to the efforts of John Percival, headmaster of Clifton College, to press for the establishment of such an institution. In 1872, Percival wrote to the Oxford colleges observing that the provinces lacked a university culture. Aim and Benefits of University of Bristol Boeing Futures Scholarship

Up to £3,500 are available in 2024/25.

The payments will be:

• £2,000 in the first year
• £750 in the second and third years.

We also offer up to £1,000 of funding support for employability opportunities, such as internships, placements or summer research programmes.

Requirements for University of Bristol Boeing Futures Scholarship Qualification

You can apply if you:

• are a UK applicant for full-time undergraduate study
• have been made an offer (or be awaiting a decision) to start one of the following courses in 2024/25:
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Data Science
  • Engineering Maths
  • Maths
  • Physics
• can demonstrate financial need.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Bristol Boeing Futures Scholarship

Assessment process:

• You will find out whether your application was successful in early June 2024.
• Successful applicants will be enrolled on the Futures Scholarships programme. You will be supported by the Futures Scholarships co-ordinator to access career guidance and advice on University opportunities for personal and professional development.

Further details:

• Recipients are expected to come to periodic meetings with relevant University team members.
• These awards are funded by donations from the Boeing Aerospace Company.

How to Apply

Applications are made via the additional funding page.

When you apply for additional funding, you complete one application form but are considered for a number of scholarships and bursaries.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 16 May 2024 at 11:59 pm (UK time) with no exceptions.
