The Scholarship was established in 2021 and is funded by the Faculty of Arts and Education. Rongo Manusina acknowledges the cultural, historical, and political connections shared by M?ori and Pacific peoples, and recognises our contemporary relationships, especially the legacies of solidarity forged here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support M?ori and Pacific students, and recognise their achievements, as they undertake a Bachelor of Communication degree at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
Founded in 1883, Auckland is the country’s largest university with over 40,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom graduate annually.
