The Scholarship was established in 2018 and is funded by the New Zealand Super Fund in memory of a valued colleague, Nicola Crowley.The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support and encourage more women to pursue a career in computer science and digital technologies.
The University of Auckland will provide one scholarship of $5,000 for international and domestic women students enrolled full-time in the first year of a BSc, BSc conjoint degree, or BAdvSci (Hons) in Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.
Founded in 1883, Auckland is the country’s largest university with over 40,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom graduate annually.
