The Foundation (SDEF) provides Merit-cum-Means Scholarships up to ?50,000 for exceptionally talented but poor students in India pursuing professional courses. We fund the most talented students and help them pursue the best education in India.
SDEF SCHOLARSHIP-INDIA
We started Indian Scholarships in 2015 by contacting IITs for offering scholarships to their students. Henceforth, we expanded our reach by including all NITs. Each scholarship is Rs. 20,000 per year (at par with the national scholarship). We expanded our reach to include medical colleges. In 2017, we opened it to any all student pursuing a professional course. From 2018 onwards, we have also included the top 100 private colleges on our list to award scholarships. We have now opened our scholarship to all undergraduate disciplines- B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BE, B.Tech, B.Arch, MBBS, B.Pharma, and any other (up to 4 years) undergraduate course.
There are many students who are not able to pursue higher studies due to financial constraints despite of having the ability and talent. Our aim is to inspire and transform the lives of brilliant and economically backward students. Educating youth has an impact not only on the individual but the family, the community, and the country as a whole.

Swami Dayanand Charitable Educational Foundation announces its ninth Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2023-24, which is open to students enrolled in any undergraduate program at public and private universities in India. The goal of SDEF is to assist extraordinarily gifted but financially struggling students who are unable to complete their college studies owing to their financial barriers. The organization offers scholarships to students who have overcome the challenges of their family's situation to achieve high rankings in the national and state-level common entrance exams, to gain admission to prestigious institutions.

This year the Application Process will be online. Interested students meeting the eligibility criteria can apply by clicking the “APPLY NOW” button below. The receiving of online applications will start on 1st August 2023 and will end on 31st October 2023.
