Financial scholarships and grants are available to incoming first-year students, transfer students, out-of state students, international students, and current Geneseo students.
SUNY Geneseo has increased funding to merit scholarships. New students who have been admitted to Geneseo will automatically be considered for all merit-based scholarships at the time they are admitted.

These tuition scholarships are awarded at the time of admission with amounts up to $7000 USD per year. Awards are based on outstanding academic achievements as evidenced by grades on transcripts (or mark sheets), results on national examinations.
Academic scholarships are renewable for up to four years with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
International applicants admitted to SUNY Geneseo are automatically considered for an International Student Scholarship.
First-year and transfer students are eligible for the International Student Scholarships.
SUNY Geneseo is test optional. SAT and ACT scores will not be considered when awarding merit-based scholarships.
The priority deadline for scholarships is January 1 for Fall semester and October 1 for Spring semester. Scholarships will be awarded on a case-by-case basis as available after those dates.
International applicants do not need to complete any additional applications to be considered for the scholarships below.
