Aim and Benefits of Royal Geographical Society PhD Scholarship

• The successful applicants of RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards in UK, 2021 will receive an award of up to GBP 2,000 to support their fieldwork and data collecting operations.

Requirements for Royal Geographical Society PhD Scholarship Qualification

• All applicants are eligible to apply for RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards in UK, 2021.
• The awards support geographical data collection in the UK or overseas.
• Candidates applying for RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards in UK, 2021 must currently be enrolled for a Ph.D. at a UK Higher Education institution.
• Applicants who have received this support before will be given preference.

Exclusions:

• Students who receive full funding from a Research Council or other sources with support for fieldwork/data collection do not qualify to apply.
• Candidates registered on MPhil or other masters level courses are not eligible to apply for RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards in UK, 2021.
• Reapplication for the same project is not permitted.
• Conferences and conference attendance will not be funded.
• Awards cannot be made retrospectively.
