The SOCAR Scholarship Program is an initiative of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic to generously fund Azeri students to study abroad at top universities. RGU is delighted to welcome several SOCAR funded students to Aberdeen each year.
This Scholarship is open to undergraduate, postgraduate or postgraduate research students studying in the field of Engineering at Robert Gordon University.
SOCAR Scholarship Program is managed through the training department in Baku on behalf of the company.

It became a university in 1992, and originated from an educational institution founded in the 18th century by Robert Gordon, a prosperous Aberdeen merchant, and various institutions which provided adult education and technical education in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
