Peking University (Overseas Students) Scholarship was established in 2012 to support outstanding students to study undergraduate and/ or postgraduate degree at Peking University.
The scholarship is categorized into two categories: full and partial scholarships. The full scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend (including living allowance), and medical insurance. The partial scholarship only covers tuition fees.
Originated as the Imperial University of Peking in 1898, Peking University was China’s first national comprehensive university and the supreme education authority at the time. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, it has developed into a comprehensive university with fundamental education and research in both humanities and science. The reform and opening-up of China in 1978 has ushered in a new era for the University unseen in history. The monthly stipend is given as follows: -
Undergraduate : 2000 CNY/month
Postgraduate : 2500CNY/month
PhD : 3000CNY/month
Applicant must hold an offer to study at Peking University as an overseas student (freshman) and has not receive any other scholarship funding. Student who enrolled for professional degree program, joint degree program and English taught program are not eligible to apply.

Master program : 2-3 years
PhD : 4 years
Direct PhD : 5 years
Application period: - March until April every year
