Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) herby invites applications from qualified primary school pupils for its 2021/2022 Post Primary Scholarship Award

This scheme seeks to support high performing Basic Five and Six pupils through secondary school education. 

A selection test is then conducted to place the best top candidates onto the scheme.

About Nigeria LNG Limited

Nigeria LNG Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on May 17, 1989 to harness Nigeria's vast natural gas resources and produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export. The establishment of NLNG is backed by the NLNG Act. Aim and Benefits of Post Primary Scholarship Award

The scheme aims at assisting high performing basic six pupils in company’s host communities to access post primary education.

The scheme kicked off in 2012 with 28 beneficiaries and, by 2019, it had grown to 342 beneficiaries with a total sum of N825,300,000 ($2.697m) expended to date.

Prospective pupils are admitted to the scheme through application on company’s website based on advertised criteria. 

Requirements for Post Primary Scholarship Award Qualification

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Be an indigene of an NLNG host community
• Be a Basic 5 or 6 Pupil and must provide his/her Basic 5 or 6 result 
• Provide an attestation letter stamped & signed by the Head Teacher of his/her school (contact telephone number of the Head Teacher must be stated in the letter)
• Provide an indigene confirmation letter signed by the CDC Chairman or Chief in his/her community 
• provide a letter of identification from his/her Local Government Council 
• Provide a passport-sized photograph
• Not be a child or ward of a staff of Nigeria LNG Limited. 

Documents Required for Application

• All applications MUST include the following scanned copies as attachments
• Passport-size photograph
• Basic 5 or 6 result 
• Provide an attestation letter stamped & signed by the Head Teacher of his/her school (contact telephone number of the Head Teacher must be stated in the letter)
• Provide an indigene confirmation letter signed by the CDC Chairman or Chief in his/her community 
• provide a letter of identification from his/her Local Government Council

• Interested person should visit www.nigerialng.com to apply.
• Go on the “Social Performance” menu to select “Education” from the drop down menu.
• Then click on the PPSS Scholarship application link on the Related Links section of the page to access the application portal
• Click on “Register Here” to people a profile and commence the application process.

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the selection test

Applicants must fill in valid contact details (email and telephone numbers) as these will be used to communicate the outcome of the application.

The application will be disqualified for;

• Incomplete attachments
• Non-adherence to advertised criteria 
• Falsified documents
