Every year, Newcastle University provides many scholarship opportunities to deserving international students to help them pursue undergraduate degrees.We offer 13 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants. They must apply for full-time undergraduate study at Newcastle University.

About Newcastle University

Newcastle University (Officially, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England. The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine), established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science (later renamed Armstrong College), founded in 1871. Requirements for Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships Qualification

Applicants for the up to 50% scholarships applicants must:

• be domiciled in one of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, USA
• be assessed as international for fee purposes:
• hold an offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2024/25 academic year
• already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent

We will assess eligible candidates according to:

• evidence of academic ability
• evidence of commitment to studies
• quality of application

Applicants for the 100% scholarships applicants must:

• be domiciled in one the following countries: India, Ukraine, USA
• be assessed as international for fee purposes
• hold an offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2024/25 academic year
• already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent

We will assess eligible candidates according to:

• evidence of academic ability
• evidence of commitment to studies
• quality of application
