The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) has been awarded funding by the Wellcome Trust (through their Master’s Programme Awards in Humanities and Social Science) to support one studentship per year for three years (2019/20 – 2021/22) through MSc Public Health.
The Wellcome Trust Master’s Programme Awards in Humanities and Social Science scheme aims to build an influential and diverse population of talented researchers in the humanities and social sciences in order to improve the understanding of human health. This aim is being fulfilled through Master’s Programmes that improve students’ understanding of health through the humanities or social sciences; prepare students for a career in health-related humanities or social science research; and build an influential and diverse population of talented researchers.
Founded in 1899 at the London Docks, LSHTM is now based in Bloomsbury, where it has two main sites at Keppel Street and Tavistock Place, and additional sites in The Gambia and Uganda. Today, our staff, students and alumni work in government, academia, international agencies and health services across the world. Learn more about the history of LSHTM.
