As a Lecturer, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the department, faculty, and university, and contribute to academic leadership in the field of business with specific emphasis on international business and management. Leeds University Business School (LUBS) places a premium on international levels of scholarship and research excellence, and you will be expected to play a role in leading the development of the scholarly standing of the International Business Department.
The International Business Department at LUBS is an established and internationally esteemed centre of excellence for scholarly research work and teaching in international business. The International Business Department is also home to the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL), one of the world's premier scholarly centres for international business and at the forefront of academia and practice. Research development is divided into four main thematic areas, focused especially on the regions of China, India and Southeast Asia. 1. The nature, determinants and impact of foreign direct investment; 2. The strategy of MNEs and countries – impact on home and host country development, productivity and competitiveness; 3. Knowledge management, international entrepreneurship, property rights, and performance; and 4. Methodology in international business and management research. Leeds University Business School is internationally renowned for the quality of its teaching and its research. Our work covers the full spectrum of business disciplines, teaching undergraduate, masters and doctoral students and creating new knowledge through research. We place a premium on international levels of scholarship and research excellence. We are seeking to appoint one Lecturer in the field of international business and management. We are particularly interested in candidates specialising in the areas of International Management, MNE Subsidiaries, Global Value Chains, Global Leadership and Governance and Sustainable Global Business, in their link to the aforementioned themes.
