Lancaster University is delighted to announce that they will offer a generous scholarship to high-achieving students from all international countries, who are liable for International tuition fees.
The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee waiver for undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes for 2023 entry and will be automatically awarded if students meet the eligibility criteria and terms and conditions.
On 23 November 1961, an announcement was made in the House of Commons to that effect, and two bodies were set up to bring the new institution to life: an Academic Planning Board, chaired by Sir Noel Hall of Brasenose College, Oxford, and an Executive Council for the Establishment of a University at Lancaster, chaired by Sir Alfred Bates. The founding vice-chancellor, Charles Carter, came into post on 1 April 1963.
