The Scholarship was established in 2004 and is financed by Jacobs (previously known as SKM).
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage students studying towards the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree or Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) conjoint degree in all departments within the Faculty of Engineering and Design. This will enable Jacobs to support the engineering profession by being involved in the education of future engineers and create mutually advantageous links between the scholarship provider and the recipient.
Founded in 1883, Auckland is the country’s largest university with over 40,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom graduate annually.
