Through the ITU160 Gender Champions initiative, on the occasion ITU’s 160th Anniversary, the Government of Canada is partnering with ITU to bring to Geneva nine young women (ages 18–25) working in digital development and digital transformation worldwide.
This initiative will cover their travel and accommodations in Geneva, where they will participate in the WSIS+20 High-Level Event, the AI for Good Global Summit, and ITU’s 160th Anniversary commemorations from 7–11 July 2025.

The nine ITU160 Gender Champions will be required to attend the WSIS+20 High Level Event and 2025 AI for Good Summit from 07 to 11 July 2025. In this context, the organizer will provide the nine Champions with
(i) a round-trip economy flight ticket to/from the location, (ii) health and accident insurance coverage and (iii) accommodation and per diem subsistence allowance for the duration of the stay.
