About Irish Research Council

The Irish Research Council was launched in 2012 and operates under the aegis of the Department of Education and Skills. The core function of the organisation is to support research across a number of disciplines and career stages

Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme

Aim and Benefits of Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme

• a stipend of €16,000 per annum
• a contribution to fees, including non-EU fees, up to a maximum of €5,750 per annum
• eligible direct research expenses of €2,250 per annum
