International Journalists Program (IJP) are offering for the eighteenth time a travel and work fellowship for up to five young journalists from the Middle East, especially from Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel and Palestine to spend a two-month period in Germany. We are doing this in cooperation with governmental institutions, foundations and sponsors in Germany and the Middle East.
The International Journalists' Programmes (IJP) are a non-profit and economically as well as politically independent organisation for the promotion of young journalists. It was established in 1981. IJP are an association, registered in Germany at the local court in Koenigstein near Frankfurt/Main under reg. no. 8 VR 646. IJP are organised decentrally and have no administration. The successful applicants of The Middle East Fellowship in Germany, 2021 will receive 4,000 Euros towards travel costs, board, and lodging.
Applications, for which there is no special form, are to be submitted by June 15, 2020. The application must be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae with a passport photo, and a journalistic appraisal written by the head of department or editor-in-chief.
