Flinders University has established this scholarship to support high achieving students commencing undergraduate courses at Flinders University. Up to ten scholarships will be available per annum.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. Flinders is a verdant university[citation needed] and a member of the Innovative Research Universities (IRU) Group and ranks in the 10-16 bracket in Australia and 36th in the world of those established less than 50 years. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum for up to four years. The scholarship will be paid in instalments of $5,000 each semester subject to the recipient maintaining eligibility.

Selection Criteria
Selection will be awarded based on academic merit, using the applicant’s university entrance score.
Selection of the candidate(s) will be made in accordance with procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration.
An application for an eligible course will constitute an application for the scholarship. Applicants who have an eligible Flinders University course as their first SATAC preference in time for the first offer round will be considered for this scholarship.
