John Monash Scholarships are awarded to outstanding Australian graduates to support them with postgraduate study at leading universities around the world. The Scholarships are not limited by age, gender, academic field of study or choice of university, with successful applicants having demonstrated excellence in their field, leadership potential and a vision for how they can contribute to a better Australia.
Scholarship recipients receive AU$75,000 per year for each year of their study program (up to 3 years maximum); they also become part of our John Monash Foundation Leadership Academy, which enables opportunities for future collaboration and connection.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. The following world-class universities offer partial or full fee waivers to John Monash Scholars, for certain degree types: Cranfield University (UK), IE University Madrid (Spain), King’s College London (UK), The University of Groningen (The Netherlands), and Weizman Institute of Science (Israel).

Applicants who have been successful in securing a Rhodes, Fulbright or Ramsay scholarship are not eligible for a John Monash Scholarship.
