Applications are now open for the Flinders University 2025 Kirsty Boden Memorial Nursing Scholarship. The object of the scholarship is to recognise and support regional and rural students studying the Bachelor of Nursing (Pre-registration). Two scholarships will be available each year from 2018, for as long as funding permits.
The scholarship has been established through a $100,000 grant from the Government of South Australia.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. Flinders is a verdant university[citation needed] and a member of the Innovative Research Universities (IRU) Group and ranks in the 10-16 bracket in Australia and 36th in the world of those established less than 50 years. Each scholarship will have a value of $10,000 paid in equal instalments on the first University pay period after 31 March for Semester 1 and 31 August for Semester 2.

Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with approved University procedures.
**Applicants studying at the Riverland campus will be given the highest priority. If there are no eligible applicants from the Riverland Campus, students from rural and remote areas will be considered. The degree of regional or rural remoteness will be considered for students not studying at the Riverland campus.
